The
National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) which focused primarily on the first
three generations of the Corvette family now welcomes 1984-1986 Corvettes into
the fold! The early C4 Corvettes are beginning to reach Classic Car status and
so the NCRS has begun judging these Corvettes. My car went through the process on March 23rd 2003 and received the NCRS
Top Flight Award. The NCRS judging
teams examine a car in depth in these areas: Chassis, Mechanical,
Exterior, Interior and Operations. The judging teams spend the better part of a
day evaluating a car. When the process is over you are given the opportunity to
discuss the finding with the judges and to dispute any findings you feel are
incorrect. Awards given are:
Top Flight (score of 94+)
2nd Flight (score of 85+)
3rd Flight (score of 75+)
